There were a lot of components to line up and join together at once

and now for something completely different.

Album image #18
Main cab shell has been painted and decals applied. Not entirely happy but not much I can do about it now. Had to apply the decals now as there are part that fit over them or pass through them.

Album image #19
The decals are possibly the thinnest I have ever encountered - came close to losing them in a wrinkled mess.

Album image #20
Need to put a gloss coat over the top of them so I can handle the shell for the rest of the build without damaging the decals.

Album image #21
You can see this decal didn't sit down very well. The shell is just dry-fitted for now. Lots more work to do on this cab section before moving onto the engine build.

Album image #22
'Wood' parts painted using a base coat of Vallejo Model Air Wood and streaked with Tamiya NATO Brown and then blended to give the appearance of grained timber. I'm quite happy with how this turned out. Gave a light coat of Finish equivalent to take the matt look off.

Album image #23
Floor fitted with control rods fitted to pedals.

Album image #24
Very happy with how the dash and floor look

Album image #25
Even happier with the bulkhead/firewall. Getting all the tubes, cables and levers lined up and correctly located was somewhat difficult. Perseverance and dumb luck won out in the end!

Just in case someone else decides to try this kit out I'll call out some errors in the instructions or build issues that may be encountered. So far I have found these:
Step 19 - fitting of rear suspension assemblies - apart from trying to get 10 parts aligned in one go you may find the #06 screws that secure the top hanger points (front & rear) to the chassis a bit hard to install. They seem a bit too long and I had to drill out the holes in the chassis and rear cross member with a 1mm drill so the screws went all the way in.
Step 22 - dashboard assembly. The tiniest part, that I'm guessing is the ignition switch, is labelled '133F' but should be '133E' The 'F' sprue frame is all the chromed parts and there is no '133'. You'll find this part (if you get your magnifying glass out) on Frame E and this tiny part needs to be painted wood colour.
Step 22 - dashboard assembly - a spring and a couple of tubes need to be attached to the rear of some of the gauges with superglue. There are very small protrusions on the back of these parts to locate the tubes/spring but easily break so take care.

Thank you Jeff for the corrections. I have this model in my stash and is looking forward to building it.
