Don't call me when you need to move Mick. It'll be a case of Mick who?

Hey Peter don't talk to me about moving, our lease is up early next year and the missus wants a house with a couple of less bedrooms so siblings can't move back in with us.;)

You sure you are a builder and not a manufacturer?
Nice setup 👍

You do have the space Lode. Plenty of it. Buy a tent and move the tin lids outside! Whoops! Bit too much Oz vernacular! Tin Lids = kids.

It's Mrs Hickey, poor woman, slaves away working all day picking up Michael's mess!

Naaaah, Pete she slaves all day at work, while I sit and play, building all day.;)

Martin, thanks, I make copies of all my aftermarket resin stuff because it's so much cheaper than buying it over and over again when I build for example like at the moment I've got 6 Academy F-4B's out. I don't want to buy 6 cockpit sets for them all so I buy 1 and mold it, then cast it 6 times and keep the original as a master. As an added bonus, when a product is no longer available on the market I've still got my originals. I got instructions off the net how to make a pressure pot from a paint pot, so I get perfect results every time.

Thanks Lode & Guy.

Hey Spanjaard, I looked at buying a 3D printer, I took a couple of pieces with me at the time to show them what I wanted to do, and the manager said I'd have to buy their top of the range 3D printer and even then he wasn't sure it would do the job. The cost of that printer was $2000, for the price of a printer like that molding & casting is a more economical option. Maybe in other countries where they have been available to the public longer the quality of the end result is better and the printers are cheaper. But I will say when molding & casting you need to build or buy a pressure pot for perfect results, with out it you will defiantly get air bubbles no matter how hard you try to avoid them. I must say though it is very rewarding mixing up a couple of liquid chemicals and pouring them into a mold, putting it in the pressure pot and 20 minutes later having a perfect copy.🙂

indeed Michael. Well, the 3D printer is a plan for the future... when quality is higher, prices are lower, and hopefully i have more cash to spare. i will probably try resin before the 3D printers are good/cheap enough 🙂
