Pvt. Jackson from "Saving Private Ryan"
Pathos Miniatures is a new manufacturer from Greece which works with 3D-Modelling techniques to make fascinating busts. I ordered their first release which shows a Sniper of the 2nd Ranger Btln. with the face of the actor Barry Pepper playing Pvt. Jackson in the movie "Saving Private Ryan".
The kit came in fantastic quality and completed with a booklet showing colour pictures of original clothing and gear, really highly recommendable!
The ones who remember the film well maybe noticed, that Barry Pepper was left handed. The bust shows the soldier holding his rifle like a right hander. This is NO contradiction! When the small troop starts its mission, Jackson marches in the left row, letting his rifle point outwards the line, which means right handed.
In the movie Jackson wears a net over his helmet. I took some plastic anti-fly net and formed it with a hairdryer to shape over the helmet.
I painted the bust mostly with Vallejo Model Color and some parts with oil pain
