M4A3(76)W from the 1st Compagny of the 501st Battle Tank Regiment (501ème Régiment de Char de Combat) of the 2nd Armored Division (2ème Division Blindée) of the Général Leclerc.

The compagny arrived in Normandy on the 3rd August 1944.
They fought on the South of Paris on the 24th. Also fought in the Tuileries Palace (Palais des Tuileries) against a German Panther.
They liberated Strasbourg on the 23th November of 1944.
After a long and tough fight in the Ardennes, having suffered severe losses, they took a break in Alsace, then in Vatan (in the Indre).
After crossing the Rhine on the 27th April of 1945, they arrived at Berchetsgaden on the 4th May.
The war ended on the European Front 4 days after that.
