@Rui S Thanks! This was my first time painting an aircraft model silver, but the paint helped me.

@endreuskas This is 1:72 scale and has just 20cm on its length. Pin-wash highlights details!

Alberto
Nice paint job. I haven't tried the Aqueous Super Metallic range of paints. It looks good!

Sven Schönyan
I second that! I really nice paint job. What have you used for the pinwash?

Looks awesome.

@Alberto I think this paint is revolutionary. Before using this metal color,I recommend applying black surfacer and polishing the rough surface caused by blowback.

@Sven Schönyan Thank you! I used Tamiya Panel line accent color (black) and enamel thinner.

Wow, this looks absolutely amazing! If I may ask, how did you apply the pin wash, did you coat the silver with a varnish first? I usually never get such fine detailed panel shades.

@Thomas Kolb Thank you for asking. A varnish coat is not necessary because the silver painted surface is so smooth that the pin wash does not bleed through. (and clear paint may spoil the shine of silver.)
My method of pin-wash is as follows. This should allow the pin-wash color paint to remain even on delicate molds.
1. Pour the pin-wash color paint (ex. the Tamiya Panel line accent color) into the molds.
2. Allow to dry thoroughly. This is most important.
3. Wipe it off with a cotton swab soaked in enamel-thinner, allowing some of the thinner to evaporate so that too much of it does not get on the cotton swab.
4. For areas that the cotton swab cannot reach, soak a brush(a fine-point brush or a small flat brush. A Kolinsky is better than a nylon brush) in thinner and wipe the pin-wash color off. Again, only use a small amount of thinner on the tip of the brush.

@Clement This kit becomes difficult if we want to achieve a good finish. Thank you!
