Circular cutters are really nice. 🙂 At least for cutting round patches of masking tape. The one I have, some different brand, has a taped on "measurement line" and that one doesn't seem accurate, so I always have to eyeball and do trial and error to get the correct size. Also, the cutting blade for the one I have, non Dspiae, is loose which makes it annoying, the blade wasn't loose the first year, unsure if it was magnetic or lubed up or something. Tend to come loose when I lift the cutter off the surface.

I don't think the blades (3 different) sit very good on mine either, but it's only a problem when I lift it. It's straight so it doesn't affect the cutting itself. The measurement line seems pretty accurate but it is small and could have been closer to the pointing arrow. It measures radius, while I would have preferred circumference, but that's me 🤷🏽♂️

so until I'm better than him I will continue washing. I will definitely check out your build! I'm not the one to give advice when it comes to kit building, but most of the mates here with lots of skills and experience are very helpful and inspiring.

As Spanjaard pointed out washing gets rid of the releasing agent used to eject the sprues from their molds in the factory. I usually just wipe the parts with some petroleum ether before painting, it degreases well and evaporates quickly, so no time spent waiting for parts to dry😉

But I started checking out the pieces because everything else is paused because of a very cold and long winter (they say coldest in 16 years, and that was before the Siberia cold came from east in February). When temperatures allow painting to flow in my airbrush I will go back to other kits
