Update 1, 10/04/22. Hi folks. I have made a start on this build. The Tamiya 1:32 scale Spitfire MkIXc. I have been working on the cockpit parts. Got the front end with Stick, pedals and instrument panel done. The Eduard instrument panel does look the part. Much better than fiddling with the kit parts. I have also been building up most of the engine ready for painting. I will post more pictures up as I go. Enjoy.

Update 2, 11/04/22. Today I have been continuing to work on the pilots office. This was not fun at all. I used the HGW fabric seat belt set. Oh boy, was this a right pain to build up. I know these are supposed to look better than PE belts. But I am beginning to doubt it was worth the effort. It took me most of the day to do them. I have more or less glued them down, to make them sit right on the seat. Anyway, next I will be working on the cockpit sides and gun sight. Enjoy.

Update 3, 28/04/22. It's been awhile since I posted an update. I have been doing my Super Hornet build. Anyway, I have installed the cockpit and closed up the fuselage. Fuselage seams have been filled. I have painted up the engine with Mr Color Metal Paint Dark Iron. Once dry it was buffed with a soft brush to bring out the metal highlights. It looks a lot brighter in the pics because I used flash. It may not be accurate. I know that Spitfires today have nice neatly painted engines. But I reckon during the war, they would get worn and scratched. Anyway, I like the look, so am sticking with it. I believe the next task is fin and rear stabilisers. Then its onto the wings. Enjoy.
