Roland SachsenhoferQuinto Studio has a certain reputation for not only having invented 3D decals, but also for still making the best ones today. In this respect, I was curious when I had the opportunity to use a full set of them in the cockpit of the Nasa F-18 for the first time. I would like to show you a few pictures here.

bughunterWow, very nice! I also like to watch if I'm allowed to.
It would be very interesting to see a review comparing al the nice 3D-decal manufacturers like Quinta Studio, Eduard Space, Kelik, Red Fox Studio ... I'm sure there are more. But competition stimulates business (and keeps prices down 😉 )

Roland SachsenhoferTwo work steps in one update: first you see the pre-shading in light and dark colour tones, then the applied dark blue of the sleek NASA side lines. I have mixed the colour tone of this as close as possible to that of the Caracal decals; because a mixture of both techniques is used: Decal and paint. The many curves and undercuts in the engine intakes do not allow the use of decals, and a narrow gold border must also be applied. Well, the front area up to the nose tip can be done with decals!
