I only painted the rear and bottom canopy frames, and used chrome mylar strips on the upper rear. The rest seem to be plexiglass-to-plexiglass joins so were left unpainted.

A lot of fit issues needed attention: file down the cockpit parts for better fit and make sure the prop shaft covers are far enough forward to clear the rear bulkhead. All resin inserts need fairing in (I used CA) and the upper wing root needs filling.

Wheel bay resin is a good fit. Wing root fairing was rescribed, and the air scoop was drilled out.

Gear doors and wheel yokes were thinned out. Paint was ModelMaster Ford engine blue lacquer, which was sanded down and coated with GX100 gloss. More sanding and polishing could be done, or the gloss taken down, but this was good enough for my tastes. My "acrylic wash mix" is 2/3 distilled water and 1/3 Dove dish soap. Instant sludge wash when mixed with craft acrylics.

Very nice work. A very unusual subject.

Fantastic work! I presume from your WIP photos that the kit is quite demanding...
