Rafale Solo Display 2017

I wasn't entirely satisfied with the lighter blue so I spent another couple of hours on masking the Rafale all over again. A few drops of white paint were mixed with Tamiya X-4 Blue but that still didn't convince me. Therefore I also airbrushed a light coat of Revell Aqua Color #52 over it. The contrast between the lighter and darker blue tone seems to be alright now. Also I'm sick and tired of masking and painting all over again so I'm calling the paint job done! Only the engines, landing gear and smaller details need to be finished before continuing with the decals. 

10 decals placed, ~8394 to go! 

~200 decals later... 

Hours and hours of masking, painting, doing everything again (twice) because I wasn't satisfied and ~200 decals later! Just need to add the landing gear, refueling probe and other bits and pieces and maybe add a light wash before mounting the canopy and calling it done!
