I'm used to Tamiya paints and… yes they are out of fashion maybe, but I still have a lot of them, my plan is to mix up my current paints for the required colors, cheap huh? Reference not shown.

Also I may be a geek man to use enamel colors, afterwards I would always use water base grim wash and panel liner, cheap +1. Think these are all paints for this kit.

With homemade seat belts (or at least looks so) the cockpit now is I think OK with a 1/72 canopy closed hornet, we'll just go and see.

Airbrush all white parts at one time can save up time, I used #1200-1500 white primer instead of surface paint, why is that? Cuz primer is cheap and tough, don't be afraid of the finess, #1500 primer is alright for the look, and later you will definitely put some dirt over them.

Wheels can be annoying sometimes, some thoughtful model makers mold hub and tire separately, but most of them are merged as one unit, I normally use this Mr. Masking Sol r for color separation, once polymerased it can be cut whatever shape you want. I believe there are a lot alternative products in your domestic market.

Primer was firstly painted (Mr. Hobby #1500 gray). Following that I painted some silver color onto the clear part of cockpit to prevent light transmission.

Surfacing colors were painted on either side.

Briefly paint the shades and so on surfacing color. This is another advantage of mixing up colors, I just changed the ratio of mixture to get darker or lighter for shade and highlight.
I seldom use preshading method cuz sometimes it may be easily neutralized by surfacing paints.

I normally use this type of pen for the red lines, and it's acrylic as well, means can be erased by the base of acrylic color. And put some art powder to mimic the dirt and so.

i love the home made seat belts how did you do it i want to know because i am starting to get into the habbit of makeing detailed cockpits with open cockpits

that is if i am aloud to copy your seat belts

Charlie, for the belts I think he used painted masking tape, as suggested by pic n.6. You can also use strips of aluminium foil, It all depends on which technique you feel more comfortable with. There is no such a thing as modelling techniques copyright, feel free to try and copy everything you like, that's the way!

@ charlie yes they were masking tapes, I used them cuz they are cheap and handy, first off you need to know the scale of the seats, and thus you can design the right size of the belts on the tape, stick the tape on cutting sheet as I showed in pic 6, use a pencil to outline the sizes, and cut before you paint them, then you can paint them as you want. Normally you can't set the belts perfectly with one trial, and this is another reason I prefer the tapes, can try many times without loosing stickness. Sure you can copy it, we are here to communicate for fun. And I actually copied this method from one of friends, just he can't speak any English.😅

Fantastic work Chan!!
The color shades in combination with the panel lines result in a very convincing overall picture!
Also a very good job with the decals, they fit perfect.
Once i had an airplane project that didn't work at all (horten),
haven't made any planes since then😆

Thanks Simon, to apply the decals normally took two to three days of mine, and sometimes it eliminated most of my patience.
At a point of time for this project I almost quit the bounty hunters decals for a simpler one.
And always appreciate your compliments.
