First small milestone achieved. Was very fiddly but I'm happy with the result. Only thing that's annoying me is that I wasn't able to sand off all the fake wires from the kit. Need to be more thorough the next time

Texture of the seats is looking good.

I tend to cut the Kevlar Decals in 2-3 Pieces when applying to the Seats -> that way its easier to get them fit properly into the contour

When you check pictures of the real thing you will notice that the seats are spotting some sort of squared fabric in a very grayish color. For my build i used some charcoal colored textured paint (you can see it also in may quattro A2 build). I think it matches the color of the real seats quite good

Thanks Dennis for the advice on the seats.
I was looking at many pictures and even the photos in the Komakai book the color of the seats look different, depending on the lighting.

Thomas, i think you took the wrong wheel for spare wheel: there must be one without bolts in the kit wich is meant to be the spare. Better check before your Quattro is rolling on only three wheels 😉

Hm so how was the quality of that USCP-Engine kit? Been sneaking around this thing now for a while but the pricing kept me from buying it for now...

It's really good. Very nice details. A lot of clean-up of the parts necessary though. But the engine is the part that keeps the Beemax kit from being perfect. Something is just missing. Don't know why they didn't put an engine into the Quattro like they did in the S4. I would buy the USCP,kit again.

When you look onto the parts breakdown of their future release Quattro S1 you will see, that they (Nunu/Beemax/Aoshima) will use much of the parts from the Quattro S1 Evo2 kit.
If i remember correctly the Engine also differs in some parts from S1 to Evo2 plus the Engine itself is not directly visible from the outside. So I guess its based on cost efficieny in building molds (imho).

A Proper Delta S4 kit "has" to spot the engine becuase it is clearly visible from the outside (though the Nunu/Beemax/Aoshima interpretation is not a 100% correct but thats another topic 😉 )

That's a wrap!!
I very much enjoyed this build.
For me the S1 was, is and will forever be the most fascinating Rally Car of all time.

Well done mate! The efforts you made totally paid off 👍 👍 👍

One point of criticism: better check those rear lights. I think that they have to be tinted black…

BTW: where did those gravel tires came from?

They are from a Tamiya Peugeot 205 kit. I built that one earlier but didn't like how it turned out.
I want to build the Peugeot again but with the Evo2 kit from Renaissance Models.
But first I need to get the kit itself ? might need to order it from Japan
