I think a fun idea could be to re-create the landing pad at Cloud City, which iirc is some kind of over-hanging landing pad, unsure how big it is in the movie though.

Great job on the paint and weathering. The lighting takes it to another level. ?

Spanjaard - I used the kit from Captain Jack's Models: captainjacksmodels.co.uk/
For future projects though I think I would just wire my own.

I stand by my previous evaluation.. you really have captured the essence of the Millennium Falcon in all her glory.. the nuances of painting and weathering, the added lighting with leds and fiber optics, in my humble opinion, is one of the highest achievements of dedication in scale modeling, and captures the dream in a moment of perfect clarity..?

Thank you JD, really appreciate it! I'm a huge Star Wars fan and wanted to build a falcon ever since failing at the lackluster MPC kit years ago.

Album info

Completed this over the course of 2018. Kit cost around $50, lighting was $30 or so. It came pre-wired for more lights than I could fit in the body, so I chopped off a bunch and only used what I could fit within the cavity. Powered by a 9v battery that hides in a door underneath the engines. Black primer, tamiya paint, weathered with pastels and vallejo acrylics.
