To make the upper hull fit to the lower hull a bit of the upper part has to be removed. Also a little bit of the outsides of the sponsons had to be removed as well.
A little problem is that the upper part of the Sherman V direct vision is a bit bend. I can mask that by putting a spare road wheel next to one hatch and a jerry can next to the other hatch.

I received a replacement hull and took off all the items I already glued on the bend hull and glued them on the correct hull. Also glued almost all parts of the wading set on the lower part of the hull and the turret. On the upper hull I glued the first couple of tools. With putty I've created welding lines around the padding lifting rings on the front and back of the upper hull and on the back of the turret.

Made some progress. The flail installation is on the Sherman. Not a regular Sherman anymore. 🙂

Added stowage and spare flails to the Crab en gave it his base coat of grey paint. Next step is black paint and then the green can come.

Track construction has begun. I use a Bronco cuff type set. Als constructed the .50 which comes from the Asuka kit.

Painted the Crab with Vallejo black then with Tamiya olive green mixed with a little bit of yellow and white.

Painted almost all details and I've started wheatering. The Crab looks rough and that's how a Crab should look like in my opinion. I'm having a bit of trouble with paint that won't stick to the decals. Just have to figure out a way to fix that.

Apart of painting a couple of details I've wheatered the Crab some more. This time I've added some more drybrushes with different buff and brown colors. I've also add pigment.

Building this Sherman Crab to add it to the already build Sherman Crab in the Bridge Over Troubled Water Project I’m currently working on.

I’m using the Asuka Sherman V kit and the Crab conversion kit from Resicast.
Also gonna add the Sherman V direct vision hull of Resicast and the deep wading lower section kit of Resicast.
Found some parts I can use to upgrade the interior of the tank a little bit.
