Black Primer > Vallejo 71.094 Green Zinc Chromate > Rustoleum Clear Gloss > Oil Wash (1:2 lamp black & Burnt Umber) > Rustoleum Clear Satin

Added a few pieces of lead wire on the bulkhead (painted red or black).

Saw pictures in a walkthrough that the instrument panel was green with only the dial faces black so tried to replicate.

Tamiya XF-16 dry brushed and then Testors red and yellow enamel for details.

Crankcase painted with a 50/50 mix of Model Masters Intermediate Blue (FS35164) and Testors Light Grey Flat.

I used a razor saw to separate all the cowling flaps. Then decided to see if i could open a few up. Steam from a kettle and boiling water didn't help too much and ended up breaking one so didn't push it any further.

Upon further research i found out that each cylinder requires two wires (so port and starboard will be different).

Now with a bit of paint. To be more accurate I'd need to add 14 more wires as the 2nd bank of cylinders would have them too - but my hand was cramping so this'll do 😉.

Tamiya XF-53 Neutral gray for the bottom colour. It has a slightly bluer tint than the spray primer i used.

Air-brushing the top complete with Vallejo Olive Drab. I'm very satisfied with how the masking turned out too, maybe not fully accurate but no seepage, runs or other issues.

After the light and dark washes were sealed in under gloss-coat I wanted to try my hand at adding some repaired battle damage.

0.010 styrene cut down, primed and the crazy glued to the wing.

Really nice work on that interior detail - the extra colors on the wires really go a long way. I don't know if it's just the way the camera shows it, but that gloss you're using might be too much - it leaves it looking very plastic. Maybe try a matte finish instead of satin, or find another gloss that doesn't go on so thick?

Once i'm through with these cans I'll try to pick up some that I can use an airbrush with - should help to get some thinner coats. Also, i think the macro lens and flash in a soft box makes things look a little glossier than what the eye would notice.

Yeah, I wondered if that's the case. Either way, you're doing a great job - way more detail than I put into mine!
I really wish there was a better tooled 1:48 B-25J because I'd love to do it again, and while there's a good B model out there, I'm just not as interested in it for some reason.

Nice work with the putty. I tried that method on my Corsair and really didn't like how it turned out so I redid it holding a stencil 1/2" away from the model. My B-25 was just straight lined tape. Yours turned out really well.

Thank you for the kind words! I'm pleased with how using the putty turned out, but on one side the line is a bit busier than it probably should be.
