Pretty much done with the Takom StuG. I really enjoy these Takom kits - well molded, good detail, fairly priced. Had this kit on my wishlist since it was released, as I love the look of the wide winter tracks. I replaced the weird spare track stowage rack with a scratchbuilt rig. There's more stowage that I'm leaving off until its further along. Wheels, tracks, spare tracks, and pintle MG are off prior to priming and painting.

Finished yet another Star Wars legion model, this time it's the TX-225 GAVw Occupier tank, from Rogue One. I've liked this tank since I first saw it, since it's a major departure from the Imperial walkers normally featured on screen (though the Empire makes extensive use of wheeled and tracked vehicles in the EU) and it reminds me of a cross between a tank and a pickup truck.

Unfortunately, this model comes pre-assembled with some major fit issues, so I started by disassembling what I could and sanding and gap-filling what I couldn't. I also added some greeblies to the hull to make it more authentic, specifically the small handles on some glacis panels and the rivet details on the front and back sponsons.

I wanted a "dazzle" style camouflage scheme for this, as I find the constant monotone grey of Imperial vehicles a little boring. I painted everything in Tamiya, Vallejo, and AK acrylics and weathered it using Ammo and AK enamels. All in all, this was just an OK kit, certainly not the best Legion vehicle I've built so far (that honor goes to the speeder truck).

Very interessting project. I read the article about it. "Funny" facts are, that the Danish (that is what I understood) soldier bought the car from a US soldier, based in Germany, and the car has german license plates on it. The book he wrote, is also German and if you read through the description on Amazon, he was at court in Bremen. Sounds to me, that he lives in Germany. The Camaro still has it's German license plate.

I'm on it, when you build this.
