Hi Peter, Someone told me on a facebook group that the original dated from the 60's, named Chopper Hog. Mine was from 1989 with new decals from Revell Germany. Its a good kit really, similar to tamiya's kit from the early 80's, but with less parts. There so much chrome tho, a bit of a pain to clean all those parts, especially at 1/8 scale.
Cool bike! 👍 I do not know this Revell kit, but I imagine it being a... Revell kit - looks great here!
the american classic Phil Nice job

I just thought about Evangelion when I watched Hideaki Anno´s Godzila lately... 🙂
Nice job on this one - wouldn´t recognize it as Asuka due to the color scheme first, but one quickly gets the clues 👍
Yes, but I was tired of painting red.....so I tried something else. haha
Wrong color but nice build!!!!! I have this kit for years now on hold
Michael Papay: Not a great kit really, also its quite expensive for the quality. But the figurine is good and could probably fit on any 1:6 bike. Once build it looks better than I was expecting, as some pieces are really cheap. I choose pink cause I had too many model painted in red and was tired of the color, and I'm not an evangelion purist, even if I like the original anime. 🙂
Also the instructions are the worst I have ever read...the print is terrible, its incredibly confusing. By luck I found a video on youtube of someone that build this exact model. It helps me a lot : Youtube Video
Great build my friend!
thank you Ahmet!
Evangelion was one of the first animes I have seen in the 90's. For me it must be red. The instructions are not the best, I remember. maybe I will start this year ^^
Great build ..I think she looks awesome in Pink , express your self . Its only a model
Thanks Mona...yes Indeed.

Cool model and presentation! Very dynamic!
Nice idea this one, looks great, good to see that this 'straight run rider' has an oval shape helmet, the other two 'Old skool' from Tamiya have a more round Arai type helmet.
well done 👍
cool idea and great display!
awesome! i think it may have a little too much 2t oil in it tho 😉 a slight blueish tint to your smoke would add to the realism, not criticism, don't take that the wrong way, i could only dream of achieving that look, not had the nuts to do a diorama yet. ??
thanks...I did it quickly why just a bit of black but Ill try the blue next time, great idea....
Another very beautiful model, really dynamic ?

it looks really beautiful!
Yes i was surprised by the result, for such an old kit and didnt know anything about this company. I think Its and ancestor of Aoshima, because Aoshima produced the same kit. The Tamiya metallic orange is also a very good spray. very fun kit to build.
Nice job Phil. Very nice in fact!
Top build and presentation!

Great work and result Phil
Thanks a lot, yes, i love this era too, every cars were kinda unique and so many iconic pilots.
Oh yes, and sadly we lost too many of them then or since then!
But nevertheless, these were great times in F1 especially thos3 black Lotus Cars were spectacular and fascinating👍

Top build and dynamic presentation! I like this one.
Thanks, very nice bike from Tamiya. The weathering fit the model (its a motocross), but also since almost everything is red, it could look like a toy after just the painting. So fake oil, stains and mud help it a lot in my opinion.
looking really good. and yes, it looks great dirty 🙂

you dont need thinner with zero paints tho and its flow well with an airbrush. Just need more but thin layers.
My first time using Zero Paints was interesting (I'd only used acrylic up to that point.) I'm glad I used it though. The color and quality was poppin'! Agreed, many super thin layers. Project 040 -- Brian's Mitsubishi Eclipse | Album by chrisagreat (1:25)
yeah, I remember Peter Hardy getting the plastic to melt with Zero paints.... Hasegawa Mercedes C9 | Album by Cracka (1:24)
Yup if you dont shake well you spray more thinner than paint and its quite horrible! The first layer need to be really thin.

Mix feeling for this dragster. The good part: nice looking dragster, very easy to customize the engine, good tires and the body is easy to remove but still fit well. But the bad parts are very annoying: the engine doesnt fit very well on the rear part of the dragster, the instructions are very bad, sometimes you dont know what to do exactly and the decals are very very very cheap, you can see through them and they react very weirdly when you pu clear on them. I add some fake smoke to hide the wing, because the decals looks horrible. It should be better to paint the bottom line in yellow instead of using the decals, they are very fragile and you see through. At the end, the model is cool looking but the kit required a lot of cleaning and works.
Really, by far, the most fun model I made. Everything fit perfectly, the instruction manual is clear. I read that some people got a lot of trouble with the decals for the rims. Maybe they changed them as it was super easy for me, and they also add a few extra red lines. The only bad point for this model: the handles are fragiles as the part holding them is a very thin piece of plastic . Also, the racing stand doesn't work well with the rear wheel, as the screw seems to block it...I dont really care, but its a bit sad since the racing stand is good looking. The part holding the yellow spring is also very thin, too thin, it broke and I replace it with a brass rod. If you're really picky, the rear part also needs to be glued if you want no separation visible. A part from that, its a superb model and Im really please by the results.

beautiful! 👍 👍
Beautiful work 👍
merci! The tamiya figures show their ages, they need a lot of cleanup. most of the decals were still good. i love their that they are very dynamic and fun to paint. And they fit perfectly a 1980 F1 diorama. Ill add more item to this diorama with a background
👍 love the photos of finished kit on the glossy black floor very evocative
thank you 🙂
