Guillaume Blanchet
It's an amazing job of PE. I'm impressed!
23 January 2021, 03:57
Jakub Wiraszka
Thanks Guillermo. Frankly typical PE is only slat armor, Sosna-U gunner and Commander panoramic sights and some little things on rear part- I took this from mickrodisign sets. I had to make the rest of the brass and polystyrene sheets with couple meters of copper wire... 🙂 when I was starting I wasn't expecting so many fixes and changes to the T-90MS from Zvezda. After so many additions its not MBT rather true heavy tank ;D

Guillaume Blanchet
Wow! even more impressive.

Looks awesome mate! 👍
You beat me on this one. 🙂 Have plans to scratchbuild this model in the future but will probably use the Trumpy T-90MS kit for it.
So much work put in this build, just wow. How long are you working on it?
It took me about three months to finish the scratchbuild of my T-80BVM in 2019.

Nice use a PE a bit to fiddly for my abilities, love the net around the turret bustle

Jakub Wiraszka
Thanks mates.

@Joseph Russo
It was almost impossible to get. This net, what I discovered, is only in Rosomak IFV from IBG. But luckily I received it as a gift from colleague... 🙂 I was suprised is not produced by anyone else seperatelly.

Thanks all of You. It was more shorter journey than I thought. Way faster than T-80BV. Maybe it was because I knew T-90MS from my previous project. Anyway I can say T-90MS from Zvezda is a good base, I like it a lot.

Album info

T-90M proving ground version. The workshop takes a while, so in short ???? what has changed compared to the Zvezda base.

Changes:

- changed wheels specific to the T-90M - stock from the Tiger Model kit
- correct entrenching blade - scratch
- non-slip coating on the body and turret
- complete electrical wiring on the body and turret
- correct wire light covers
- marker lights details (front / rear)
- missing bolts (charge cassette closures) added to the reactive armor of the body
- improved fenders. Geometry, anti-skid plates, fastening buckles, bolts.
- a ring around the basket of the turret has been added higher than in the T-90MC
- added buckles for containers (Microdisign from the set dedicated to MS)
- replacement tank holders (wire)
- enlarged right rear fuel tank - compatible with the T-90M version. In addition, improved location of the fuel fillers and grooves in the tanks
- side skirts bolts replaced, wire handles added, geometry of the front side skirts changed (reactive armor elements and rubber skirts)
- right rear fender made of metal + bolts
- engine compartment air filter mesh (Microdisign from the MS kit)
- details of the rear part of the body (Microdisign from the kit dedicated to MS), slat (Microdisign from the kit dedicated to T-72B3M mod. 2016) required some elements to be corrected (length, spacing of fixings and their type), but overall it was ok
- APU made from scratch
- made appropriate for the T-90M, oil container with a cover, filler and bolts
- reversing camera made with all wires
- electrical connector cover replaced (right rear)
- welds added wherever possible
- slat plus turret basket (Microdisign from the set dedicated to MS), wire frame
- the air conditioner changed to be compatible with the T-90M version (Tiger Model / Zvezda), the filter cover was made of sheet metal, Mikrodisign buckles added
- Reactive side turret armor made of polystyrene and sheet metal, similar to the turret containers, and the turret front covers
- anticumulative net of the turret from the Rosomak IBG set
- Kord (AA gun) turret made from scratch - metal plate, Kord hybrid LiveResin / Zvezda
- commander's hatch made from scratch
- improved top turret reactive armor - added bottom layer (wire) under each element
- most part / detail dividing lines corrected. Some of them were completely separated by details.
- periscopes - dvd disc painted with a white frame
- gunner and commander optics (Microdisign from the MS kit). Changed gunner optics door, replaced bolts.
- complete electrical wiring on turret
- turret bolts replaced
- replaced handles of the turret ammo compartment
- GPS / Glonass antenna mounting socket changed- made from scratch. The antenna itself is a Voyager kit
