Roland Gunslinger Yes, it's really nice little kit. Sometimes you just want to build something small quickly.
But I still find it very strange that someone should actually have sat there earlier. I imagine myself to be pretty uncomfortable.

Gary Dahlström I recently watched a video on this and one of the theories was that it was a suicide weapon possibly developed for Japanese, not German, use. Since it only had 5mm of 'armor' the thinking is that it would stop small arms but when detonated would fragment into tiny bits. At any rate, I don't think anyone who crawled into one of these was expected to get back out. We may never know...
I also don't see any facility for venting the exhaust from the single-cylinder engine (wtf?). Did you happen to notice something like a tailpipe associated with that castor wheel in back?
Great build! That rusty patina is damn near perfect, and the markings are really sharp.

Roland Gunslinger Thank you Gary! Much appreciated!
I also read something similar. I think the "tank" was more of a concept than actually in use. There is no exhaust on the kit. To be honest, I also can't imagine that it actually moved. But as you wrote: we will probably never know.
Ben M I ordered one of these, wish it would arrive ... currently building the bt-102 ball tank. The kit isn't great, I've put it on hold because I got frustrated with things not fitting together. One of these days I'll get back to it, but I might not finish the interior, not great engineering. Your Kugelpanzer looks fantastic, the weathering is great.

Roland Gunslinger Thank you Ben! Much appreciated!
Yes, I also find it very annoying when a kit does not fit. This one fits very well, but it's only a few pieces. I can't say anything about the MINIART yet. I keep my fingers crossed that your kit will arrive soon!
