What is this resin kit like? 🙂 Been wondering about this.

Also, have you already figured out how to add (any) nose weight?

Oh hell yeah! Will you be doing a diorama of the movie scene? Count me in!

Jd - I have a basic base for it and some boxes and drums but not doing much with it . Treehugger - it's a pretty nice kit - well made . Very hard to get - I paid over 200 bucks Aussie for it (too much for what it is) . It's solid resin so not adding anything to the nose - just going to use a little bit of clear sprue under the rear to keep it off the ground. It should sit really low so won't see much ...

I think it should be possible to drill or carve out some resin and put in nose weight if that might help you, ofc I see you have already added primer, but perhaps not too late.

if i may give some suggestions....
if it will be sitting in a base, why not simply drill a small hole in the wheels, insert a piece of metal (piece of paper clip), drill the base to insert the metal and glue it.... much less surgery than adding weight, not visible at all, and it should never move. it may simply work with one in the front wheel

of course a piece of transparent clear plastic may hold it in place as you propose. but you can also find some 1/72 ladder and place it in the back. this baby must had an access for the crew, right?😉

Perhaps the simplest way, to stabilize the model, would be to simply glue the three sets of wheels to the base I am thinking.

Hold the kit, too, so I'll watching

i did think about a ladder fixed at the back to hold it down but couldn't see anything i liked . may also use some of the 1/72 boxes or fuel drums placed in the right position to hold it correctly - not up to that stage yet . may use the base for other models so don't want to fix the plane to it ( it's also not in a desert scheme so it's not right for the movie anyway - it's a Vallejo wooden airfield base i painted up )

haven't found a nice flat desert resin base yet i like

Ooh, and a fuel truck with flames racing towards it! And some Egyptian ruins nearby...wish I could do it.

didn't think of a 1/72 fuel truck JD …. good idea . now to search for one 🙂

Doesn't look like it's a tailsitter yet ... only has the turret and two props to go on and can't see them making a difference. Will see how it goes

Lovely, really insprirational work on the dusty desert field. 🙂

What fuel truck kit is this? Doesn't look like Roden 730 but something else.

Treehugger - Hasegawa Isuzu fuel truck . Better match than the Airfix I first bought - but still short one axle ... it will do until I find something closer to movie ????
