Oh, now see? I love that. It's like a lovely optical illusion... you think "geez... someone just left a car out to rust" but, no! It's all created destruction... every bit!

It's like those cakes that look like other stuff... it looks like something horrible... but it's actually delicious!

Thanks to you all! Every time I manage the photos it's turns out to be a 'new album' ? I don't mean to do that.

Tom ...
Great paint work. I really like the subtle weathering. I would love to be able to achieve that kind of result.
21. February, 05:35
Mark Boots
Thank you Tom. It really isn't that hard. Patience is the biggest issue in weathering for me. ' Just' slowly building up the layers :)
21. February, 16:49
Bill Newcomer
Very nice job on the weathering Mark.

Olivier
It is very nice. Just, if I may,... The decals on the doors should be cut to show the gap between door and frame. The quality of the rest requires this little thing.
3. February, 16:53
Mark Boots
Of course you may Olivier! you are right about the decals. I did not know about decal setting liquid at that time :) Going to fix it!
3. February, 18:33
Chris Greathouse
That's a beautiful truck!

Patrick Hagelstein
Growing up, I always loved seeing those trucks in our streets!
3. February, 19:18
Mark Boots
Thanks Chris. And you are right Patrick. It's a pity that I have not seen one in years on the road. But we keep them alive with our hobby :) :).
3. February, 19:40
Mark Boots
And meanwhile..I fixed the decals. Learned that it's better to cut them before applying the decal softener.. (left hand side cut wet and right hand side cut dry)
3. February, 19:44
Olivier
The dry side is clearly better. Thanks for going through the whole process. It became a lesson for quite a few of us I am sure.

Fantastic work. Even though this is the first thing you've posted something tells me this is not the first model you've ever made. Hopefully there are more things coming?

A really lively diorama. :)

Btw, I've seen people using the Vallejo Still Water bottle, together with toilet paper to create waves and water in general, might be worth checking out. I think I saw they also using some kind of clear foil (plastic) for running water unless I am mistaken, also together with the still water bottle and maybe toilet paper as well.
1. February, 16:41
Mark Boots
Thank you Treehugger! I have done that (but without big waves) on my submarine diorama!
