Thomas WildHi Brandon. Looks great. I'm still looking for the right weathering color for the late stages of the Rallye Monte Carlo. It's not really mud what was there. Your weathering is coming very close to the real mess they had on the car. May I ask you which weathering product and color you were using? Thank you

Brandon HThanks Thomas and Nigel! For weathering, I had to mix my own solution in this case. My LHS didn't have much in the way of weathering products at the time; nothing to match my reference photos anyway. I ended up having to mix a few different colors of Tamiya to get a good match, then thickened some of it up with Tamiya putty for texture. Definitely not the easiest to work with, but I liked the result I got. The rest of the mix was thinned and I set my cheaper airbrush to "spattery" to blend it in. I'll see if I can figure out which colors I mixed when I get home later.

Brandon HI think it was a mixture of XF52 and XF53 that did it for me. Darkened it down with XF1 as necessary. The nice thing about mixing your own is that you can tune it on the fly to get the best match

DennisWeathering is spot on Brandon.
Also nice to see, that one does not have to use all those fancy weathering stuff to achieve a realistic finish. Just good old skills and that's it.
