Wow very nice looking Eagle Daniel!! The loadout looks perfect and it is nicely combinated in my opinion 👍!

Wow nice, that's a beauty...I agree with Konrad, subtle weapon load 👍

Thanks a lot guys! from what I've heard this loadout was actually used for precision strikes on cave entrances in Afghanistan, e.g. Tora Bora. They would normally carry a second AMRAAM on missions, but it is not authorized with the GBU-15 hanging on the same pylon. So this looks kind of unbalanced - which I like 🙂

Nice work. I do like the asymmetric load and the replacement brake, they definitely bring interest to the build.

Great looking Eagle. Loaded to the gills! Gretat setup and weathering is done well.

Love this kit. I used those same resin probe covers. They are awesome. Great job!

Yeah Donald, I wish all of their kits were as good and accurate as this one! Especially the nozzles are outstanding.
Sadly mine came with a load of flash, bent in all directions and really bad moulding, it took a lot of time to get everything cleaned up and neatly together. Should have taken some photos to shock you guys😉 There were two sprues of the upper body in the box, guess it was added by QC since one of them was just FUBAR. The clear parts are pretty bad as well 🙁 but I`ve heard most kits out there are in much better condition.
If they re-issue the kit they should really include a desert storm decal option, since the kit depicts an early model. Or an upgrade sprue, would have saved me some extra work😉 Speaking of which, the probe covers are not resin, but scratch build from sheet and epoxy putty, I looked, but couldn't find those for a reasonable price. Thanks again mates for your positive feedback!

Very nice finish! Would you still prefer Revell kit over GWH kit if you are going to build another ?

ZHOU, I know you arent asking me, but YES. Absolutely the Revell kit.

Thank you very much guys!
Revell is a great kit, especially value for money is unbeatable. (But I guess GWH is much cheaper over in China?)
But if I was to build another rendition I would get the GWH, main reason: Revell is an early version - Gulf War era - while GWH offers all the modern features and also the details are a bit more delicate I think.
And if I would build another one it would most likely be GWH's F-15I

Album info

I think the F-15E is a plain beauty - plain because theres not that much to look at besides lots of gunship gray. So in this build I wanted to add some parts which add color and make the Mudhen more interesting to look at. Mainly those are the red antenna cover parts, which I scratchbuilt, and the superb remove-before-fligh-flags by HGW. The airbrake is supposed to be a spare part directly from a Charlie, I saw this in an air refueling pic and went for it. To make things even more interesting I chose an asymmetric loadout starring a nice fat GBU-15.
The kits decals are very nice but I have seen too many "Tiger Lead" machines everywhere and wanted something else. I imported some interesting decals from China and chose a Seymour Johnson Mudhen with a cool OEF noseart. The decals are from BestFong, not too bad, but could be a lot thinner.
