Regardless of the realism of such an appearance (regarding your small discussion in the build thread), this is definitely an eye catching model and I agree with the notion of maybe doing some pictures of it with the real sky - perhaps even on sunset, as in the digital artwork.

Beautiful finish! The finish of the top of the fuselage in particular really pops. I love how you varied the fading, shading and texture to get it just right. Faded dark blue paint with the perfect sheen. Very convincing. Congrats.

This got really difficult in the end and transformed to some sort of a psychological staring-contest between me and the cat (good I did not choose the "eyes & jaws" version offered by the kit & box-art... 😄 I was like "I really want to be done with this & the cat like "yeah, then try!!"... Things broke, got lost, surfaces got damaged & fixed, but in the end I wrestled it so some kind of a conclusion...

- if you mind checking - I still don´t know what to think, atm feeling just happy it´s done (which it´s kind of not, .50 cals missing, the kit material took me nowhere and proper ones will be ordered later... to be honest I don´t feel like arming thins one yet anyway... 🙂 )

When I was removing it early (6-ish hours), it always took a bit of the decal with it... After 12+ hours all went clean and it was super-easy to remove the film.

I was using Tamiya strong all the time...

@Sven - I kind of agree - the color and saturation may not be as great as on the top 'normal' decals - for this project it was perfect though, I planned to spray some shading over the decals anyway.

What definitely works with these is that after the film goes, there is -no- thickness to the decal itself... 👍🏻
