A simple weekend build. The kit fits together very well, is a joy to build. Would recommend trying to paint the guns separately from the rest.

Cool stuff - I never even held a "Das Werk" model, but words have been good...

Nice topic as well - they really went creative on those muzzle-brakes... Happy times drilling them all out 😄 I only saw something mildly similar on the Flakpanzer Gepard - was this supposed to be recoilless or did they just really needed to teach troops not to block the gunners view by standing anywhere near this contraption..?

Nice results too with the chipping & scratching bits, soon going to be Night-shift time at your desk! 👍😉

I have no idea what the engineers had in mind for this Vierling, probably only 2-3 were ever built. It was the appeal of a nice weekend build and this kit did deliver. I'm now doing a Takom kit and can only appreciate the effort that went into the Vierling - so much nicer!

You should put the Vierling in a Whirbelwind, would be an interesting (historical) what if!

No problem!
"The Wirbelwind II " Zerstorer 45" In hope to increase the Wirbelwind firepower in December of 1944, Ostbau built one prototype armed with quadruple 3 cm Flakvierling 103/28. Due to the chaotic situation in the German war industry, only this single prototype was ever built. According to Walter J. Spielberg, up to five were built by January of 1945 and these were issued to front line troops for use."
