What kind of gloss coat is this?

I thought I could keep using thick layers of Humbrol Clear, but I get consistently cracks in the gloss coat when airbrushing on the stuff really wet. I will have to try airbrush it on wet but in less amount somehow to avoid cracks to appear.

Hi @Treehugger I use diamond finish clearcoat from Zero Color. According to the instruction I apply light mist first and after a few minutes 2-3 wet layers. I never had any problems with that clearcoat.

D@#% Dude! That is sweet! What LEDs did you use for the headlights?

I used 2 white-cold smd LEDs (model 5730) glued together. One LED is a rectangle with dimensions of 5x3.7mm. With that lighting surface I was able to glue it under the clear parts and cover all 3 stripes.
