One suggestion: this appears to be a working excavator, so the inside & sides of the bucket, and the dozer blade front surface, should really be shiny steel color, instead of rust. Those surfaces get a lot of scrubbing from dirt, like a farm plowshare does, and so they should be shiny polished steel. What you really want is just short of chrome, but not white-silver like aluminum.

Maybe whatever you used for the hydraulic cylinder shafts. That's pretty close.
