Hello mates,
this is my Vigilante from USS America built in November 1979. I like the asian touch. I removed some tiny yellow life forms on edges with alcohol (nice death) and polished the canopy. There is a bit too much blue in the Gull Gray (this model didnt get yellowish since 1979, wouldnt hurt!).
Vigi is one of the hottest jets to me. Looks so fast and much too modern for 1958. Mother of XF-108 Rapier. More pix are coming....

1979!!! She holds up pretty well. And yes she looked so fast back then and I think she still does today. Well done!

Wow, looking real good Thomas! You're right about the look, back in 1958 it must have made a spacecraft - like impression on spectators. 👍

Have you never moved since 79? None of my old kits have survived... Wonderful Vigil!

Thank you guys! Holger: this was fixed in a shoe box from 1980 to 2001. 4 moves: to Regensburg, to Augsburg, to Würzburg, to Regensburg 2001. (im a Burger, you see!) never pictured until now 🙂
