Björn SvedbergI've started assembling all of the PE parts from the Eduard BigEd kit for the catalina and it is pretty big, so this will take a while 🙂.

Björn SvedbergYes, it's big and I haven't got anywhere to put it yet. I already have a Lancaster in 1:48 and there is a B-17G coming, so I will have to make place somehow. 🙂

JensI have the original version of Monogram in the camp and it irritates me for a long time, your progression always let me look for the kit
New control units in Resin, Eduard and a lot of patience will be necessary

Björn SvedbergI had to do some work as there was a gap between the canopy and the cockpit opening. Added a couple of pictures to show the work.

Björn SvedbergI'm back working on the Catalina. Today I've added the photo etch parts for the landing gear and layed down the base aluminum color.

The Catalina is finished. Although, as always, I made alot of mistakes along the way, I'm pleased with the result. It was a nicely detailed kit from Revell/Monogram and it fit together pretty well. The only thing that let it down was the quality of the clear parts. The BigEd photo etch kit was a really nice addition with lots of extra detail. Especially for the under carriage and for the floats. 🙂

Thomas BischoffI agree with all above: it's a beautiful cat ... but ... I just saw that the fuel vent pipes (on the wing, see picture 27) are pointing the wrong way. Hope no one elses notices!

Björn Svedberg@Thomas I did a white wash on the dark parts and a black wash on the light parts. Then I usually do some dry-brushing to accent some parts.
