bossy122 Thanks. Only wish it hadn't taken two attempts. On the first attempt, I couldnt get the 2 outer stripes to line up correctly at all. This time around, I applied the BIG three pronged forward decal and then quickly did the aft decal and had to adjust the 2 at the same time.
bossy122 Wow. I wish that I could answer that question. I took it out of storage and was going to pop off the engine cover but it's on there pretty good. I can't remember if I glued it in place or not. I'm guessing that I didn't use all the parts for the engine as I didn't intend to show off the engine so maybe something isn't fouling the covers fit. I wish I knew. I will tell you to be aware of the headrest piece, B8 onto A1, there should be NO seam there. And down inside the sidepods, B4, B2 into B11, that whole thing should be red and have no seams either. Same for the other side. Those were the issues I do remember.

Starrryy I really want to assemble this model with good engine detail. At the same time, I want to achieve a good docking. If you do not know what prevents the engine cover from closing well, I will have to find the reason myself. I hope everything will be solved by grinding the lid a little so that it becomes thinner. I know about the headrest and pallets thanks to your comments under the photo. Thank you very much!
bossy122 Despite S27s CLEAR black and white photo, I got the rear suspension assembled. Note:the pieces for the drive sgafts they gave me are easily 2-3 cm too short. I have some spare brass rod that, while not the correct diameter, will be the correct length.

bossy122 I am new to this GB thing on this site and am unclear on where the #group-build channel is. Is that on this site or a social media site, in which case I will have to excuse myself as I avoid social media like the plague.....yuck!
Matteo Pescarin Hey Bossy, the voting will happen on a dedicated Discord server, essentially a text chat with several topic-specific channels. The server is entirely dedicated to scale modelling for cars and trucks, plus a few others for off-topic chats and other hobbies. Think of it like a forum, but realtime 🙂 The link I shared in the description of the event will allow you to join the server itself and register within it.

A little heads up for anyone building this kit: the brackets that go under the front wing don't fit properly. I had to sand down the edges to get them in. And I suggest attaching them prior to any work on the front wing so as to handle the wing as little as possible.
Mike Thomas Looks great, bossy! I hear ya on the pinstripes. I hate doing them...so I went ahead and started the JPS Lotus Type 79 last week. You know? The black one with about 300 pinstripe decals? I'm a sucker for punishment, I guess. 🤣

bossy122 Those aren't as bad as they can fully adhere to the body. Those bottom ones on this Ferrari, the outer film doesn't have anything to "hold on to" and the pinstripe itself isn't enough to keep ahold. Even with Micro Sol, the damn things came off. I have a Ligier JS17 I'm working on, pinstriped that one, CLEAR COATED it and my Spiderman like fingers still pulled a chunk off. So be careful, once you think you have them on and nothing can go wrong........oops.! I wear a white glove now to pick the damn things up. So far, so good.....until it isn't. 😉
Jv Shame whed the alignment so I guess it can't be fixed some way?
I got the same kit in 1/20 scale and also in 1/12 so I guess that's one thing to look out for
