I would encourage you to put it on. It is surely better than you think. I only have 7 models finished and this would be the eighth. But they are better or worse. marcasgarciaGracias Lukasz. De momento tiene luces en los planos horizontales y un ligero sombreado en los verticales. Sobre todo en lo que son zonas más oscuras. Todavía falta algún retoque a eso, antes de pasar a los lavados y filtros. Así que aún queda trabajo.

JohnGreat work on an old kit. I built a few of these Revell torpedo boats 30+ years ago when I was a kid. I especially like the stand, did you add the Mosquito Fleet medallion, or did it come with the kit? Good job with the oils, when done right, they can add a very convincing sun-bleached look to vehicles used in the South Pacific during WWII.

The mosquito medallion is integrated into the slats that are part of what is the support of the boat. I looked for information and decided to paint it as close as possible, within my possibilities. It was more work, but the effort was worth it. So it is painted with acrylics.

marcasgarciaAs for the painting. This time it is painted with Tamiya colors applied with an airbrush. Now I don't remember exactly which ones. But I have them written down and if you want I can tell you which ones. Then I lightened panels starting from the base colors. To later do washes to highlight shapes. I have used the oils to make filters and give greater color richness.

Today has been an exciting day. Well, the effort dedicated to this piece has been awarded third prize in the Contest held this weekend in El Astillero (Cantabria) Spain. But beyond the award, what is truly important is the recognition of a job, which is always appreciated for the injection of encouragement that this entails.
My thanks to the colleagues of ACAM, for giving us, one more year, the possibility of enjoying such fun modeling days.

The season of contests or events that I attend has recently ended.
It's not my intention to strut around. But it turns out that the last two contests I have attended, Agoncillo and Calahorra in the province of La Rioja. I have been fortunate that this model has been awarded a third prize in the first and a second prize in the second. Beyond the prizes themselves. I am left with the joy that supposes that, after an effort, it is recognized and liked. And that is what I wanted to share with all of you. Well, to better share joys, what sadness we each have our own. And more in these times that run.
