Wow, hats off for your patience and dedication with the springs. Do you think it is worth it in the end, since they are barely visible? I for myself am too lazy and comfortable to replace them on my car models. A little drybrushing on the kit part does it for me...

i have done the same kind of thing.... and what counts is that you know is there, even if nobody ever see it again. and of course the fun of doing it and seeing it as you wanted it. well done Jaroslav 🙂

Alexander G: Models, where some details you are spending time with are not visible, are the best for training for models, where these details will be visible. So maybe it is not worth it now, but it can be worth it in the future 🙂

Spanjaard: Excactly 🙂 But I am a little afraid I will destroy the whole work during the painting - it will be my first glossy finish at all... We will see...

I know Spanjaard, i know...just from my last build, the MiG-25...you spend countless hours detailing and making the wiring in the wheel bay, screwing around with tiny little additions and improvements which you KNOW hardly anyone will ever see or notice or appreciate how much work, time and curses they demanded. I asked myself several times "why are you doind this", but in the end i realised it was worth it....because these little improvements and extras are what are making your model unique and valuable! Even if it's just for you alone...

Hell, now I can't go around uprading the springs on my next car model 😄

Hi Jaroslav, a few days ago, i found a very interesing post about painting glossy models, and cars in particular
britmodeller.com/for..s-for-painting-cars/
it may be interesting for you. i certainly intend to put it to use for my next car model 🙂

@Alexander, you can set your model on a base with a mirror.... i have seen it, and i intend to use it soon 🙂
i remember specially a very nice base by Babak Chalangi. he took a mirror, left the silhouette of the plane in mirror finish, and paint and decorate the rest as a airfield tarmac. really a cool idea.
