Hmm - you think dropping from above can be ruled out...?
18. July at 22:38:32
There are men outside the turret dropping the rounds in through the barrel
Lode, keep up the top job. You are getting close to the finish line
I love this build
19. July at 06:30:34
Slavo, enough men on the ship for provide the bullets. Stand alone oerlikons had also munition boxes close.
Martin, yep, just the figure out how I can insert the main mast without damage
Tim, thanks mate. Glad you like the progress

Lode, I hope you understand just how seriously good this is.

I could do with some PE advice, as I’ve read people place in vinegar or similar to roughen the surface before painting. And- do you paint the PE before fixing in place?
7. January at 18:16:38 Share
I have no clue about the vinegar.
Painting depends on where you are putting your pe. If it's a door on a 1/700 ship that will be the same colour as the superstructure; afterwards. If it's something stand alone or easier to paint separately; before.
It totally depends on your build and your preferences.
7. January at 19:13:44
Hi Stuart. I use tamiya colorless primer for my PE parts. It lays a thin layer. Since I work with MRP paints, I use the primer for the same reason. As Martin mentioned, if the PE is in the same color flat on plastic, I put the PE in place before painting. Fragile parts are painted separately before putting in place. And yes, it depends on what you build. In case of ships, as I do, I suggest you look through my albums to get an idea what I put unpainted and what PE is painted before putting in place. But that is how I work

Plastic? Oh yes, it is that product that I need to put on the metal parts, right
7. January at 06:09:18
Is there a website out there with variations for compliments? I'm running out of options here and I don't want to be too repetitive.
You should do one of those metal earth kits Lode. No plastic involved
7. January at 07:10:37
Hey I've been looking at them lately! We must be mentally connected Marty!
7. January at 08:11:43
Martin, Peter. I should look for a website where I can find a lot of variations for 'thank you, chaps »
A good idea for me, those metal earth kits, but I possibly miss the smell of glue

I've tried one of those kits. Apparently just bending the little tabs is enough to hold it together... for everyone other than me. My CN Tower from Toronto looks like a post-apocalypse version, all bent and rumpled. I haven't dared touch the Parthenon or the Coliseum yet...

18. October 2018 at 21:13:48
Hahahahaha. I only put this as a project, not an album. But who knows, someday, after Rodney, Hood, Buttercup, Tirpitz and Nelson, when the Berlinetta has become an oldtimer, I'll do this kit.
And a surprise to all you, mates. And which father can say no to his youngest son when he is asking you for building his project

Holger, it is a James Bond version. In my builds, everything floats, even a Ferrari, lol.
Serious now, I am gonna build this thing for one only reason already exposed and that is to make my kid happy

Lol Martin. It was an offer not to refuse
Apart from the bom hit, she was all German, I know. One to fill my stash. I particular like the the Tirpitz because of the splendid camo's
