Peter Hardy You are bringing smiles to a lot of faces around the world Lode. I marvel at it every time I go through the pics, and yes, I start at pic 1 every time.
25. September at 00:43:38
Timothy Heimer It will be/ is an eye catcher!
25. September at 03:10:05
Kerry Cox Your a winner no matter WHAT happens Lode. Just to have the ability and patience to have this ship look as it does is testament to your skills over all. :) SALUTE.
25. September at 03:48:16
Spanjaard the medals are nice, but the most important part is to look at it and enjoy it. you will do that for years to come, no matter what.
25. September at 20:33:09
Lode Schildermans Peter, you make me so blush with your comment. I am very pleased with your nice words
Timothy, I truly hope so. She isn't finished yet. It is almost done, but almost never won a price
Kerry, coming from you, whom I consider as a master builder, this comment is so heartwarming. I SALUTE YOU, my dear mate
Spanjaard, so true. I heard once saying from one to another« When you see a medal, you think about the contest, I only see an empty cup.
All you guys, a price is only a price, but sharing this event with you, and getting the nice comment....is priceless
25. September at 23:53:04
Spanjaard for us, too.
26. September at 00:01:52
Greg Baker I wish I had a better comment - something elegant like Kerry, deep like Peter, or insightful like Spanjaard - but it's hard to talk because every time I see this baby my mouth just hangs open.
26. September at 01:12:21
Kerry Cox Greg. THAT was a beautiful comment mate. Speechless is good mate.
We all feel the same at times. :) :) :)

Anthony Flanagan The word is Huuuuuuge!
19. August 2017 at 05:10:36
Lode Schildermans Anthony, first the Prince of Wales and probably the Hood, and then 2 years of my life. Lol
29. August 2017 at 20:40:50
Lode Schildermans The next project is in its starting blocks. HMS Rodney on 1/200 scale. My first. Looking forward to this build. Ordered missing paint.
22. September at 23:57:13
Martin Oostrom You mean she's ready for the keel laying ceremony? Front row seat please!
23. September at 00:25:53
Lode Schildermans Ah, Martin. I started yesterday in the club. Keel is being laid. HMS Rodney...my nemesis. In my head, she has to be the perfect static build
23. September at 00:28:27
Lode Schildermans First impressions within a few weeks. I am waiting for my MrPaint bottles.
@Kerry, you've now some experience in 1:200 builds. What's your impression, because in my eyes, this ship is huge
25. September at 00:06:39
Peter Hardy ... and the ugliest thing ever put to sea!
25. September at 00:44:58
Norbert Steffens Uuh what a big project. A really nice color sheme. I hope you're happy with the Pontos detail up set. My experience with Pontos is: good and small Pe parts, and on the other side an awfull manual with tiny pictures. Often you have to guess how and where to attach the parts.

Martin Oostrom Howe isn't finished yet, and here's the next one!
You do know she's not British, do you? ;)
09. September at 23:17:27
Lode Schildermans Lol Martin. It was an offer not to refuse :) Apart from the bom hit, she was all German, I know. One to fill my stash. I particular like the the Tirpitz because of the splendid camo's
09. September at 23:30:16
Martin Oostrom I like the side which resembles a rising sun (in black and white) as well. I try not to buy more kits. It works sometimes.....

Peter Hardy Hated that song 40 years ago and it hasn't improved with time!
01. August at 02:29:04
Lode Schildermans Peter, I ain't such a fan neither. Funny though the amount of comments on a project that is planned in 2020-2021
01. August at 07:46:25
Martin Oostrom Lode we're just building up suspense and anticipation. Your regular perfection won't be enough on this one ;)
RE the song; tastes differ. I prefer music from the '50 '60 and '70s to this millenniums 'music'. My brother calls me an old soul. :D
01. August at 09:25:00
Lode Schildermans Martin, LOL. A part from the hull to keep, all is PE. That really is a sh*tload of metal. But it doesn't fit ey in my budget since I've already made expenses on Rodney and Hood.
PE for this one : https://djparkins.com/home.php?cat=303

Peter Hardy Lode "Moneybags" Schildermans!
01. August at 09:51:24
Martin Oostrom It's "just" £315. That equals to €353 or 535 aus$.
You've got 24 months to save that ;)
01. August at 09:54:07
Peter Hardy Funny but Lode and I are SO connected! I was scrolling down this extensive comment list and thinking of a half smart remark about Lode's ability to create a tidal wave of comments with his projects! But, Lode beat me to it, AGAIN!
01. August at 09:55:28
Martin Oostrom Is it an album? Is it a project? NO, it's an added to the stash remark!
And we're over a 30 comments already. One can only imagine the number of new servers Tim has to buy whenever Lode gets underway and creates an album....

Martin Oostrom :o No you didn't!
The exact same kit arrived today. The Pontos set is on it's way from Poland as I'm typing this (albeit the blue deck version). Another duo project? :D
28. December 2017 at 23:54:13
Peter Hardy You two are attached at the hip! Martin and Lode van Schildermans.
29. December 2017 at 01:10:38
Lode Schildermans Just a coincidence, Martin. It was a opportunity where I mostly shop. Haven't ordered the Pontosmodel kit yet. Another duo project, lol. Who knows
29. December 2017 at 19:45:04
Martin Oostrom Cheapest I could find was at Plastmodel. €152
29. December 2017 at 19:59:10
Lode Schildermans Yep, that's where I usually order my Pontoskits
29. December 2017 at 21:33:03
Martin Oostrom The Pontos kit arrived 30 minutes ago. I'm not sure I got the blue deck though. It is not exactly wood colour, but to call it blue.... But it IS stained. Anyhow, not sending it back :P
04. January at 16:16:16
Lode Schildermans Nice to hear Martin. Have been a few days offline. So, not entirely satisfied of the Pontoskit. I've had issues with the last 2 sets. On the Rodney, the wooden deck was missing and the Duke of York kit, some HCAS directors in resin are missing.
I tried to fit the hull of the Texas, and have a gap between the two parts that would sank her in a few minutes :(. 5mm wide and 7 cm long. Not what I call an accurate fit
You've the same experience?
08. January at 07:13:43
Martin Oostrom Sad ti hear about your experiences with the pontos kits. I haven't checked mine that thoroughly.
I'll check the fit of Texas tonight, after my first day of work after three weeks off.
08. January at 08:28:53
Peter Hardy Found the secret for building with lots of PE. 2hour limit on time in the hobby room. By the time I calm down again I can get down on my hands and knees and negotiate with the Carpet Monster.
08. January at 09:33:14
Lode Schildermans Peter, every one has his method for building PE. Glad yours works well for you. As for me, I like a lot to do PE, and put them almost immediately in a box in order to avoid the carpet monster. Time is less an issue for me, sometimes I do 30 minutes PE, sometimes, for several hours
08. January at 11:58:17
Martin Oostrom Lode, just checked: Mahoo76 Mine looks fine.
To PE or not to PE. Sometimes several hours at a time, sometimes a few minutes. Depends on the amount of time at hand, my mood, whether the wife and/or kids are at home. No fixed rules :)
