Some updates, finally. I know I am a slow builder. Primer on some parts

Shortened the hydraulic cylinders of the main landing gear
Imho the Eduard Mirage III stands far too high...
Front wheel lowered
First attempt to make her look alright. Unhappy with the result. 'Fluffy' paint.
Go back to square one. Take off all paint (the second time, btw)
And redo it all
She is far from perfect, but: this is the point of no return....
for my first pure metal finish I am quite happy, in spite of the slightly silvering decals
Definitely no shake and bake kit...
... and I am amazed how much the kit brings out the sheer beauty of this aircraft. Home straight is coming closer

Almost finished, just the canopy and the seat to be glued.
I know, it is not a contest model, there are some flaws, for my first pure metal model, I am quite happy 🙂
You may have noticed: The decoration on the airframe and the color of the wing tank must be different.

Thomas TI am no longer convinced it will be the sunflower (s Blüemli), hmmmm... could also be aluminum finish. This would be the color when i first saw a Mirage from close distance.

Oh, a short translation for Thomas' comment: Flunt is the Swiss abbreviation for Fluegel-Untertank, it means 'wing underneath tank' (literally translated).

Very nice for a first NMF bird. ( I wish I could achieve such a result for a first ! )
It seems your main landing gear is a bit twisted ... it seems it's tricky to get the correct angle , but it's a beautiful bird anyway .
