Kerry Cox showed this flyfishing tubing material could be used as hoses for bikes and engines and stuf here: Ultra thin plastic tubing. | Album by RedRoo

Bughunter wanted to know the diameter and wallthicknes, so I took some pictures of those.
Picture 1 The micro tubing has a diameter of 0.40 mm.
Picture 2 By eye it looks like the wall thickness is 1/4 of that: 0.10 mm
Picture 3 The midge tubing diameter is 0.55 mm
Picture 4 I cut open a piece of midge to measure wallthickness. It comes in at 0.10 mm, which matches my guess for the micro tubing.

There's a lot of stuff like this that can be found among the fly tying materials. I've been a flytyer myself in the past before my injuries prevented me from continuing with my beloved fly fishing.

Interesting. I knew fishing wire, but I didn't knew flyfishing tubing. Tubing = pipe?
