i did an Indianapolis ( Matchbox kit) ages ago.... never did any ship ever (well, a couple of subs)

My sons third build. Well, he clips the parts from the sprues, I do the clean up, he applies the glue and I do the final positioning. #FatherAndSonTeamwork

The Indy eh? A bone to be chewed! Look forward to seeing how Mini Oostrom puts up with your tantrums when you don't get the part positioned before the glue dries!!

Martin OostromWelcome guys. I hope you packed some extra clothes, this might take a while. The attention span of Mini Me for modelling is rather short.
Pete, like every younger version of us, he just wants to glue everything together and be in his way to the next kit 🙂

Peter HardyYou aren't telling me anything Marty, I have a half built German Destroyer I was doing with my Grandson. He now lives 1000 kilometres away. Thinking I might finish it later this year.

Spanjaardok Peter, i stand corrected. never done any other boat afterwards. i am sure Martin's son will do a much better job than i did back then with my Indy 🙂

Martin OostromWe spent some time today with several parts of the superstructure. Most time was used in replacing the plastic barrels with some brass.
We're following the Lode guide to shipbuilding. As much modular as possible.
