The big red light is a switch to turn on-off the interior lights.I 'll try to motorize the engines with mobile phone motors and flasshing the exterior lights by a battery 9v which i 'will put between the seats. Trying...... . The electronic panels and the cocpit are made by mobile phone interior electronic parts

Welcome aboard! What a original idea to use those Electronic parts. Looks convincing on the pictures.

Thank you Jassies, I found interesting materials in old mobile phones. For example the airfilters under the engines of c-47 (metal panel with small holes), the fire exstinguishers (electronic resistors), square things for cabinets or transmitters, moters for the engines, opalesce materials for optic instruments, gelatins, dark green glass for radar panels. Plastic materials for(future diorama) ground radar antennas , etc. Try to one old mobile phone it will surprise you.

I begun the construction. Many problems with REVELL. The application and the fixing of the fuselage step by step with many "steps" so you must decide what you prefer. The "steps"? or the relief. REVELL make the easy difficult. There are pieces f.e. that which is in the two wings transverse the fuselage which is "the "PROBLEM" because has bad design and serves only the wing lights and to close the holes of machines. That makes problem application to the upper piece of the wing (hole between the fuselage and step to the edge attack). The inside points of application of the wing (male-female) are "elsewhere". Porca miseria. Any idea? for the steps. Foto with the end of problem

One of my favorite planes. Seems like you're doing her justice

Interesting build. For the pic 7 issue I'd propose to glue the flat piece of styrene between the wing and fuselage. I'm afraid hat green inner spar is only to be sanded accordingly... (same with the underside)

I agree with Lukasz, there will be a lot of filling, sanding and puttying to be done.

I 'll try to put the engines and the lights. I use a plaque from one battery torch, 3 volt batteries for led test. Finnaly voltage with two engines and four leds totally 9v . I didn't find small led for tail flashlight

Black switch under the wing and the battery in the fuselage. So it will be indipendent from the ground. Doors open-close with magnets.

The 3v batteries uses for test the leds because the 9v battery will burn them while in test

I continued with lights and engines tests. All OK in 9V. I put tape to the wires because the contact each other may be provoce fire. The on-off buton under the left wing works good. I cement the wings and job in progress

I have this one in my stash. I have built the C-54, which is pretty much the same in how they did the assembly steps. I did not have quite the same gap at the wing fuselage join as that. Mine simply required a small amount of perfect plastic putty and it was good. I will see how it is on my kit when I finally get around to it.

Thank you Donald. I solved the problem with instant glue and sandpaper.

I paint with varnish and I made the doors open &close. Leave only decals, propellers and where dumn I 'll put it because the wife ordered anti aircraft system!!!

Haha wife anti aircraft system 😄. Concerning Revell being an "affliction", you must consider they often do re-releases of old kits as this one which is an old Monogramm kit, which dates back to 1978. Their newer kits from own moulds are close in quality to Tamiya & Co.
Nice progress btw, that is quite a cluster of antennaes, small parts an co. you did extra. When did this thing fly in the Greek AF?

Good evening Alexander. You have right about the kits but I think that it is not honest to reduce the old kits without interference, so we see all companies using that practice. This aircraft is since usefull in Hellenic Air Force at anniversary role. It renovated in 2007 and HAF invited the American crew which flown it. It takes part to Korean war. It belongs to 3551 STT in 113 F WING. I saw it every day in airport of Mikra (Thessaloniki) when it was renew because I am officer in retired in HAF. It flies yet. I 'll share a photo

The lighting look great, Nicolaos! A little noisy with the engines. Can you do the lights and props seperately, or are they on the same switch?
9 November 2017, 19:28
Nikolaos Kouzinis
Ηello Gordon. It's true the engines are noisy. I wanted to put an interior electronic plaquewith two switces but it was too big and I must put more wires to contact it with the battery. The baterry is inside the aircraft. If it was external I must have place to put the aircraft. Only the ceilling is empty!!!! So I decided to put only one. It is not easy to my town to find materials as you want and some which I found were too big in dimensions. .
