I got this one CHEAP on ebay last year. It is an older kit, but does have scribed panel lines, a bit on the heavy side. It's small enough to assemble & paint as one piece (hopefully).
I want to hang it under the AC-130, and under it I'll put the Italeri H-21C Gunship.
Gunship Row !!

Hiya Dave!
Well I'm not too hopeful for a good fit, as the fuselage halves are warped. A real simple kit anyway. But it will look good enough. I have the new Airfix C-47 D-Day kit also, but I didn't realize how small the C-47 would be in 72nd scale. I'm thinking I want the 1/48 Trumpeter kit.
I will also be watching your B-1 build. Another one I'd like to get!

I like the ESCI kits for what they were. Relatively detailed, scribed panel line, affordable kits during a timeframe when raised panel lines were still the rage. Maybe not as detailed as Hasegawa, but for the price you couldn't and can't beat the ESCI kits. Don't forget the AC-119 Stinger and the AC-123 Black Spot for your gunship row.

John,
It's not a bad kit, pretty simple, but w/scribed lines it will be easier to detail. Yea the Black Spot is on my list although I already have the Roden C-123, and already built the Testors C-119.
There's just TOO MANY,,, I can't have them all !! LOL

Welcome Ekki,
It's coming along slowly as I have several projects going at once and work back & forth between them. It's getting there. Also looked at your wall. Nice bunch of builds, keep up the good work!

You can always dream about having them all, lol. Slowly working my way to finding and buying all the operational aircraft ever used by the AEF, USAAS, USAAC, USAAF, and the USAF.

Yes, dream. When starting again with the hobby after an absence of more than 30 years, I had a dream too. All the aircraft of the West And East German Air Forces as well as the Israeli Air Force. Nice goal that! 🙂
However, then I got side-tracked like, "oh, that's a lovely plane", and "ah, interesting aircraft" and so on. That's when the "dream" moved a wee bit into the background. It's still there mind, just not a priority.
Still, so many planes to build and so little time to do it. 😉

John,
That would be a heck of a lot of kits!!!!!!
Ekki,
Yea, I often get sidetracked (more often than not) from my main want list too!

I basically have it finished. It just needs painting. I've had to move this past year and am just getting back to modeling. Haven't built much in the past 2 years!! Looking forward to getting back to it.
