Apparently just one 1:72 and one 1:100 G.91 weren't enough - so "let's also build an aerobatic team at 1:144" - that's our Greg! 😄 👍

Greg, is there a specific reason you gave all of them a coat of plastic putty?

Glad to see you are utilizing that printer (y j

Haha... This seemed like the most effective way to get several G.91's in 1/144 scale. I've got another project besides this one in mind as well, so it seemed prudent to spend most of my energy on the design of the 3D STL file. I got one online, but had to adapt it to make it 3D print ready and include a workable cockpit.

The reason I gave it a coat of plastic putty is because I have a relatively cheap resin printer and on the curves it often gets a bit pixelated. That leaves the end result with a noticeable "grain" to it. The plastic putty basically just catches in the grooves between the levels and creates a smooth gradient. After the putty dries, I used 1000 grit sandpaper to just rub off the excess. The trick is that it gets into the panel lines as well. So I've been trying to clear out the panel lines out as well.
