Nice to see you 😉👍
Couple days ago, i prepaid the body for painting, after all "undercarriage" parts where painted silver or black.
I scripted the panel lines on the rear lid and some sinkholes filled with superglue. Also the bumpers where mounted and sanded "in line".
So the body is ready for filler and paint.

And the engine is nearly ready for installing.

Was just like this, should have kept that car. I read only about 500 were made in T-Top. Looked like this one.

Jv, the kit has a T-Top and the matching sunvisor molded in. I'll load up a picture soon 😉

The body is painted in silver with two layers of clear coat. Next days, I will sand and polish the roof and the engine hood
I've attached also pictures from the roof inside. Bob , Jv, you can see the molded option for a t-top. I think about to by a second kit like this and build it as a t-top. Like the idea and I think, the model looks nice after it is done.
And btw, i changed the seats. To make them fit, they need to thin them on the bottom.

Looking good, I did this kit in its original MPC issue years ago, but as for T-Tops and convertibles, I'm done with them, too many hassles. My 08 Shelby is a Coupe with no leaking issues.

Is there something on the upper right side of the trunk- C-pillar meeting point? Or just my eyes gone wrong?

Yes Istvan, good Eye - there is a sinkhole from a moldingline i missed

also last update a long time ago. I was very busy and made pictures, but had "no time" for constant updates.
in the meantime i finished the interieur with the chassis. Engine is mounted and all is ready for the body.
the body is always the part that needs more time.

Perhaps, you are wondering about the second body.
the painted body was wrapped , but that was not the case why i took another one.
I glued the sideskirts on the wrong side! stupid idea, i tought - but with that mistake i wont build that buddy ready. so i decided to take a new body (god thanks i had the kit twice) to make that right.
same sanding and work on the blue body, paintjob was fine and now i can start from this point again.
Next will be the trim and tainting windows.

Yes I also like to have dobbels but unfortunately can't always have that but luckily you had a second one
Good progress sofare

Thanks Jv. If i hadn't another kit, i think, i had tried to remove the sideskirts. perhaps. they are really really good glued on.

from this point, the new body is painted and i painting the window frames.
i tainted the windows with thinned tamiya smoke. After couple days of drying i glued in the windows

Also i glued a piece of sheet to the a-pillar where the mirrors will be glued on - the kit has no mountingspot for them.

Last update on this.
It is gone on the finish line. Windows, Interieur and Chassis were mounted and the (silly) headlights i thinned out. they are to thick. If i build this kit again (and i will, because i have the other painted body), i will replicate the headlights from the revell kit. I dont like the chromethings there...
At last, i painted the rear lights and mounted the wheels.
This one is done. hurrah!

You made a wonderful model of a hideous car. Can't find any angle from which it looks remotely okay (the real one!)

Really cool. When I think 20+ years back, when I did this, it never was one of my favorite kits. Today there is a lot of knowledge and experience on top and that are those results. I can't wait when you start the second. Especially the headlights.
