Beautiful, what color did you use for the gold bronze. I ❤️️ your model
By the way, Metropolis is also my favorite movie

Thanks, Torsten. I added a photo showing the paints I used, in order left to right, and using Mr Color leveling and rapid thinners. If I had been more patient I may have bought a newer shinier gold/brass paint, but instead I used what I had on hand and "antiqued" it a bit. I wish you could see the finish in person, it really does have the look of a well-handled art deco sculpture.

I loved yours, too, SM. The silver looks great on her! I looked at your gallery to see where filling was needed, for example, and like the way you handled the black base and throne. Unfortunately I had already followed the instructions and glued the inner mannequin legs on too late to fill their seams- your way is superior, as you can see the (bad) joint if you look down there. The lights were a $3 warm white LED copper string made for crafty table decorations, but I did have to snip out the insides of the clear parts for clearance.

Album info

Finally an injection-molded, relatively affordable Maria robot from one of my all-tIme favorite films, Fritz Lang's 1927 silent classic METROPOLIS.
