The model was built per instructions with the addition of MasterClub white metal tracks (MTL-35105) replacing the rubber band kit tracks. The M2 .50cal machine gun barrel and cooling shield were drilled out. The interior was painted in white enamel and weathered with oil washes. The interior detail was hand painted with acrylics. The exterior was primed in black enamel and painted with Mission Models Paints Olive Drab, Olive Drab Faded 1 & 2. Weathering was done with oil washes, colored pencils, dry brushing, and pastels. The metal tracks were burnished with JAX Pewter black. The unit markings were customized to depict a Hellcat from the 824th Tank Destroyer Battalion in April 1945 during the battle for Heilbronn, Germany.
