Thanks guys! Still have two more Tamiya kits to build that I want to do as actual jets flown by Galland & Nowotny.

Silly question maybe but was the turbo prop one an actual plane?

Nice builds! 🙂
Especially the Interceptor versions looks awesome!
Did you masked the camo or is it freehand?

Bart Goesaert

The interceptor in pic 6, is that a genuine concept from Willy's drawing board or is it a fictional "what if" ? 🙂
love all the variations you made and the variety of colour schemes 🙂

I think it was a genuine concept, Me-262 HG.III but it comes in 2 versions, regular tail and V-tail. Is this one built with the Antares conversion kit?
13 June 2016, 13:40
Choppa Nutta
Cheers Bart 🙂

Soeren R.
Yeah Bart is correct. It's a HG III version.🙂

And its also in World of Warplanes 😛

Would be nice to see a own kit of this in 72 or 48. Maybe Hobby Boss will do one some day 😉

Cheers Soeren, cool pics, yeah I'd be tempted with a kit in 48 too 😉

I really should get World of Warplanes 😄
Battlefield Vietnam will have to suffice for now 🙂

Dont do WoP - go for War Thunder then 😉 Its a much better game at all.

And if HB is going to release 1-2 Me 262 every year like now, I would bet that we will see one some day.

Very nice!!! I wanted to do this to my 1/72 Me-262s for a while

Ben: They never mounted the engines to any airframe, but I understand they were to be used on Me262s & Ar234s.

Soeren: I free- handed the camo. I was having a very good day...

Choppa: Bart is correct & I used the Antares resin conversion. Love those guys!

Masterful paint work and imagination....are all these models based on historical examples?
16 February 2022, 01:06
Neuling
Same comment and question as Lochsa River ..........
16 February 2022, 09:30
Nathan Dempsey
Thanks Lochsa & Neuling 🙂

All of theses are fictional and were only ideas on paper with the exception of the photo recon bird (with the paint scheme being fictional on that build).

I think the one with the 50mm cannon also flew, although maybe with different livery asisbiz.com/il2/Me-2..Germany-1945-01.html

Yes Spanjaard. Seems like a book I have talked about some British pilots recovering a flying example of that cannon armed one. Maybe glass nosed one as well. My paint schemes are definitely fiction though…

The Kikka was real as well, although I added the cannons to the nose.
