Time for another one of my old kits to get the paint treatment 🙂
Not a bad kit for it's time though I'm sure that right now it's more than obsolete compared with the newer Meng. Not gonna bother replacing the tracks even though they're ugly (and also wrong for this particular type), it's simply not worth it in my opinion. Oh well, I can always change my mind later 🙂

Finally I've managed to go back to this project and base-coated with Vallejo Desert Tan the rest of the kit.
I've also decided to replace the ugly vinyl tracks with the AFV Club big foot ones. The OIF vehicles used these tracks and not the early style that's supplied with the kit. Not to mention that the level of detail is clearly superior for the AFV ones. Now I have my work cut out for me .... more tracks to do 🙂

The tracks from AFV Club were assembled. I really like them, they were much sturdier than my last attempt at workable tracks (Meng's AUF1) and also much easier to assemble. Only needed 80 links per side (instead of 90 how AFV was suggesting).
Also painted all the details on the hull and added the decals.

Next steps: painting the tracks, weathering the vehicle and deciding what supplies to put on the vehicle and of course painting them.

Thank you James!
I've heard some bad things about some of AFV's tracks (like the Centurion ones) so I was a little apprehensive but this set is really good. The drive sprocket is putting up a little resistance in accepting them but it's not something serious.
I have an AAVP kit as well, but mine's the Hobby Boss version which surprise, surprise comes up with an let's say nearly identical kind of tracks just like AFV Club. I'm wondering who copied who 🙂. Let's hope they are built just as sturdy as AFV.

So, finally finished this one. Tracks were painted with steel and dark rubber then some dust and sand pigments. Painted the Tamiya accesorries. AK Interactive wash and streaking for OIF vehicles was used next, followed by a lot of pigments to make a very dusty, dirty (and hopefully full of sand) surface. I've also redone the periscopes with red color after looking at pictures of real Bradleys. I've used Vallejo oil stains on the wheels.
My apologies for the pictures, they're kind of crappy but I have poor lighting (at least for photos) and a crappy phone. Hopefully I will get a more decent setup sometime in the not so distant future.
