You should be satisfied with that, it looks great, very impressive. What did you use for the grass?

The grass and vegetation are stuff I use also for my train layout. I think the grass is from Silflor and Busch (vegetation mats).

Impressive. Through and through a good paintjob and a harmonious compilation of the single elements. Nice scene, I am looking forward to see further dioramas made by you.

Impressive first attempt, Lex!👍
The complex camo scheme of the soldier's smocks looks good and the whole scene is convincing.
One small point: the gunner should not knee besides the gun but behind the shield and he should aim through the sight device.

Thank you for your comment Ulf. I really appreciate it if people are critical (something what could be done a bit more on SCM in my opinion). But for the diorama, ...the moment depict is the moment of firing, so after aiming. The gunners rigth fist is ready to slam the firing button, hence the fingers in the ears from the other two guys. As a afterthought, it would have meaby better to pose the gunners right leg over the trailing arm. There are some nice examples of firing this gun on you tube. The blast is awesome!

Lex, I fully agree with you regarding constructive criticism here at SCM - but with the figure's position, nope, sorry. 😉
There is lots of evidence to find that AT-gun crews stick to their gun even in the moment of firing:

The reason is quite simple: AT-guns chased moving targets. The risk of a missing shot is just too high when you take the time to change your position before firing. And a missing shot could mean the death of the crew.

Album info

This is my first attempt to build a small diorama. I took the easy way and used the Verlinden diorama set specially designed for the Pak 40. Building the diorama was the easy part. Painting and vegetation took a long time but was surely worthwhile. I'm fairly satisfied.
