Nice pics - thanks for sharing.
I have the same sprues in different boxing and have read here and there that the kit is highly inaccurate. Are you going to modify it?

Planning on it need to do research to find all that's inaccurate with the kit. Before I start it.

Here is the review that made me start to think of buying Amodel one:

O.K. guys the review you link to is for the Revell kit and this is a totally different tooling to the Hobbycraft kit! (I know i used to have one but got rid of it!) The Hobbycraft one is too short and fat! The Amodel one is most likely the best one but the clear parts might not be so good? But the Revell one was pretty good too. The Revell one is longer and slimmer than the Hobbycraft one. I built the Revell one years ago still looks good. Amodel also do the ugly two seater as well.

My bad, didn't ensure Revell's not Hobbycrafts rebox, sorry for that mess.

Yeah, sad all the 1/72 Yak-38s aren't that good each have something good about them. It would probably be best to buy each and take the most accurate parts to build a nice Forger.

Ohhh... Yak-38. I built one of the Tsukuda (later Revell) kits and made some modifications. I'm thinking Amodel is the best choice, but the Revell one is decent if you give it some love... and a lot of elbow grease.

True, I wonder what I can make out of this Hobbycraft

If i ever make another one it would be the Amodel kit as i think it would be the most accurate one it was produced many years after the Hobbycraft and Revell one, Plus you could make the two seater if you wanted. This used to be a problem with companies rushing out models before they had good close up information from real aircraft from Russia. This was also a problem with the Su-25 and Mig-29 aircraft with all the early kits having problems that were hard to fix. This is the reason i got rid of my Hobbycraft one long ago. But good luck if you proceed with it.

Awesome, thank sir.
I planning to still build this kit, and then afterward I'll probably look for the Amodel kit, as I would like a more accurate kit
