When a product is multi-topic, I do not see a way of linking products from all the topics, only the main topic. For example, Boat Rope Set (HiSModel SET-Amati03, 1:72) should be linked to both Golden Hind (Airfix A09258V, 1:72) and Black Pearl (Revell 05699, 1:72) (both topics are assigned) but only the Golden Hind kit is listed for linking to.

In my Notifications there are "replied on your post" notifications, but the replies simply do not exist. Also the users mentioned in the notifications never replied on the notified threads. All these notifications are from approximately the last two weeks.

When you click 'my' on the home page to see your custom scale or favourite topic hot picks goes blank and doesn't show any kits till you go back to 'all'. For instance mine is set to 1:24 and I have Cars favourited in my settings. I can remember it working but it's been quite a while.

A question about the Contributor Results reporting changes made to the data. Are changes to the Barcode(ISSN) field for Magazines taken into account when calculating changes made? I added the Barcode(ISSN) data for 40 magazine issues and these changes were not reflected in my contributor stats.

Since a few days I have the problem that when editing the topic field the suggestions are not always displayed if you have typed a few letters. This can quickly lead to the same topic being created a second time with a different spelling (e.g. "-" instead of " "). Since this error occurs about every 3rd or 4th time, it helps to reload the page (several times if necessary).

This problem overcrowding a view on timeline.

I separate this one timeline
Focke-Wulf Fw 190D (Airfix 01064-7, 1:72)
with next trick: for the first kit I set up "Origin" different from "Initial Release-new tool", and than back to "Initial release-new tool". This helped in many cases, although sometimes the condition again back on too many timelines (previous state).

But this trick with a temporary change of "origin", does not work for Fw190 F-8 (Airfix 02063-7, 1:72)

Where is the problem, and is it possible to fix.

I found an issue: when I look up a model kit (for example "revell shelby series" - SCM Search: revell shelby series) I get an overview like supposed. Then I scroll down to the section with projects. In this case there is only one listed. But I know, that my brother built two.
I switch to the kit (07379) and there are his two project (Shelby Series 1 (Revell 07379, 1:25))
So the listing in the overview has some missing projects. 🙂

I suggest to connect the two scales more effectively.

Sometimes even the manufacturer gives a variety of different scales for the same mold. Example:
Example, this timeline has a 1/50 and 1/48;

Fiat G.55 (Směr 0802, 1:48)
and
Fiat G.55 (Směr 116, 1:48)

I suggest solution:
1. made ckeckbox "other scale" with possibility of check/uncheck
2. made "other published scale" text box (intended for packs with same mold)
3. made "real scale" text box (for product which are significantly different from written scale on packs only)
4. made automatically search expanding on timeline, for connecting with other product in different scale (same scale as input in "other published scale")
5. connection with other products (kit) automatically activate "other scale", and made input in "other published scale"
5. made search possibility for products connected with the menu mentioned

How it works?
"Other published scale" text box is grey at begging (or has same scale as in "scale" box).
Ckeckbox "!other scale" is automatically unchecked. Then manualy check "other scale", for this product above 1/48 is one and 1/50 is other scale.
Input 1/50 in "other published scale" box.
in expanded search connect 1/48 kit with first one, new tool (1/50 kit).
This 1/50 kit automatticaly check "other scale" checkbox and write 1/48 in "other published scale" box.
Now in timeline for one kit has both scales mixed.
In search result show both products.

Noitice:
"Real scale" can not be same as "other published scale" (it can be forbidden to input same number as in "other scale" or "scale"). "Real scale" text box are intended for product which are significantly different from written scale on packs only, The search on this scale does not have to be enabled, especially if it is a non-standard scale.

Problems for further thinking:
1. How do the complete timelines (example for one aircraft) are not overcrowded with two or more scales?
2. How to clearly label difference in scales on same timeline (colors, numbers, both)?
3. What if product has one more "other scale"?
4. "Real scale" text box, must has good and strong agreement around use. For example. it can be used only when no scale are displayed on the box or the manufacturer persistently states the wrong scale. It must be restricted feature, because it can deviate depending on documentation (mistakes in measures and calculations) from this group members.

Hello! First off; thanks for the site, it's amazing!
I have however a bug; The "Hot Kits" does not seem to appear on any Safari browser (Mac / iPad) when "my scale" is selected. If I select "all" the list populates as expected, but switching back to "my" gives a blank page. (As one of my scales is 1/48 its not because I have chosen an obscure scale...)
This happens when using any of the "Hot Kits" links, such as on the homepage, and on the sidebar on the right.

I'm re-sorting my magazines this weedend because there isn't enough space. Doing so I checked if all the issues are in my stash. Doing so I discoverd 2 problems.
1: I had to search for nearly half an hour to find out how to add an new issue to an existing magazine series. Here it would help to add an link "Add Issue to existing Magazine Series" in the Contribtor Area. (similar to paints)
2: Off the about 100 issues of the Flugzeug Classic series I own are just obout 20 on Scalemates, and that due to the difficulties in finding the "add new issue" mostly as books. So what is the best way to fix this? Just adding the magazine issue and mark as double?

Is it possible to include an "X" button to the end of the search fields (and maybe other text entry fields) of the mobile version which removes the entered text? Like it is e.g. available in the url/search bar of the chrome browser.

This would increase convenience a lot of one is doing many consecutive searches.

While updating a WWII USSR aircraft kit, I had the hardest time finding the Soviet Air Force in the drop down menu. I knew it was also called VVS, and Voienno something something, but it took many tries before I could figure it out:
'Soviet' gave me 15 listings (max, I suppose), none of which matched
'VVS' gives 2 results that are obviously in need of definition
'Voenno' gives 2 Bulgarian results, which is confusing, because it's a Cyrillic-alphabet country
Finally, looking at other listings of Soviet Air Force aircraft, I realized it's listed as "Военно-воздушные силы СССР (Soviet Air Forces 1918-1992)".
Then, the problem was that I tried to type 'Boehho', but the characters were not set for cyrillic on my keyboard, so the proper name would not auto-complete. I had to cut and paste 'Военно' and chose the right listing from 12 results, some of which are obviously wrong.
Of course, I could have also typed Soviet Air Forces (preferably with an 's' at the end), but I did not think of it, after my 'Soviet' failure.
Now if I'm having so much trouble, I don't imagine I am the only one, and I'm sure others would give up before finding the proper listing.
I understand the protocol of listing the exact name of the Organisation and its English translation, but it seems a bit complicated sometimes, and the number of false entries (including the Bulgarian entry in Latin alphabet) lead the search onto wrong tracks...
Any idea how to improve on this ?
Listing the English first ?
Suggesting more than 15 hits ?
Cleaning up the lists automatically, somehow ?

I added colours to some projects to remember later what I used.
When one colour was empty, I removed it from my stash. Now it also disappeared from the project. Not what I intended...

Is there a different possibility to link colours permanently to projects without connection to the own colour stash?

Can we make paint ranges more difficult to change after full range adding? I just found out that someone changed some Tamiya enamel paints to acrylic so I couldn`t find some colors in my stash using "enamel" filter while I was in paint shop ._.

I've already added colors and previews to some of the paint lines to fill them completely, and it will be a pain to double-check this over time.

I understand that sometimes manufacturers add new colors or change old ones, but let's be honest, this does not happen very often.

Interesting observation today - even E2046 brand was removed some time ago (recasters), it is still possible to add new kits and add them into stash.
It seems info message like "This brand was removed" is visible only on Brand page. But still kits are visible on the Topic page (e.g.) so they can be added to stash.

A bug in the Markings section when adding/editing a kit. Click the "Add option" button once, you correctly get a dropdown for the Topic (on a multi-topic database entry). Click the "Add option" button again, you get no Topic dropdown, the second new option added starts with Subject instead of Topic. You need to save changes after each new marking added in order to have access to the Topic field. I don't think it's supposed to be like that.
