Because I have modelers ADD, while I was waiting for the new exhausts for the B-1, and waiting for paint to dry on the Phantom, I picked this little gem out of the stash. Pretty much a level 5 snap together. I had it together and putty in the seams in an hour. The main puttying was the wing roots and the panels on the fuselage.

So, the pics of the plane in service all show it to be fairly dull. Which one would expect on a plane seeing normal service. So I didnt want a shiny finish. I sprayed Alclad aluminum directly on the plastic. It works great that way if you dont want a highly reflective surface. And if you dont want it somewhat shiny, you can polish the plastic out a bit.

Wrapped this one up today. Wow, the decals in this kit SUCK. Brittle, almost totally resistant to solva set. Had to apply it multiple times. But they do look good. Drilled out the air brake as the holes are HOLES in real life.

Thank you guys. I got it for the T-Birds markings, but I liked these better. Plus I got a 1/48 version of the T-birds plane.

Album info

This is called an easy assembly kit. It is essentially a high level snap together. Very small part count, fairly good fit. Needs glue to make sure everything stays tight. It still needs all the painting and decal work of any other "regular" kit.
