This stage coach was done long ago, but after Bernhard asked for pictures I added them here.

Moin moin. Thx for posting the pics and the link to the WIP. Are there materials that give you problems? Plastic, wood, metal, fabric, leather..... I'm simply impressed to follow you WIP. If one day you do not feel like working in your regular job anymore, open up a museum! I will be the first visitor🙂

Lovely model. Something different from all the Bf-109's, F-14's and Spitfires and Tiger tanks etc, etc 🙂

Well done mate. 🙂

Very nice, I'm hoping I can do a reasonable job on the Concord I've just bought

Thank you for your comments! 1:10 is a huge scale, so this is still a eye catcher in our living room. It was a present for my wife as she loves the series "Dr. Quinn" and this Concorde stage coach drives through the picture in the opening credits 🙂

Love it - great subject, great modeling!

... and great material 👍 Since this stage coach I love to work with wood - more aura and charisma as plastic! So most of my biplanes carry wood propellers. 🙂

I understand. I do railway modeling in wood. Nothing looks as much like wood as ... wood.

Thx mates! I'm glad you like the stage coach. It was somehow hard for me to paint the wood e.g. the carriage, because it is made of nice walnut wood.

I've just started the earlier kit The Concord Stage Coach 1848.
It doesn't require painting but I think I'll varnish it to resist dust and make it shinier.
This one you've done is way more elaborate than The Concord.
I'm definitely out of my depth with this kit having only ever made stick and tissue aircraft wooden kits previously

Where did you get the Winchester rifles?
Were they in the kit?
There's no luggage or any extras at all in The Concord kit

It was also a shame to paint the nice wood of this kit, especially the walnut of the chassis frame. But at the end it looks more real with paint. Another problem are the black laser cut edges of the wooden parts. After sanding the parts are to small for a perfect fit - the paint covers the black.
Yes, two Winchester were part of the kit with many PE parts, copper barrels and a nice piece laser cut wood.
Have fun with the kit - to work with wood is relaxing!

No black edges in this kit.
Parts aren't laser cut.
It's from 1986.

Album info

This kit was a gift to my wife, including build service 😉
It was finished in 2012 and was my start into static modeling after some RC experience.
A lot of wood, metal and I added some real leather.

Bernhard asked now for pictures here, so here is the gallery.
