Cool idea and creative way to work with the Hawk! 👍
Reminds me a bit of the Viper from Battlestar Galactica.
Love it - looks fantastic!

I'm in - have myself the S2F-1 in the stash.
Count me in too! What a cool subject choice too. Off to a nice start, looks like there are some fit issues with this kit. I have one of these too, so I am eager to watch your progress!
Indeed a real nice subject...watching!
I'm in as well!!!
very nice scratch added details
This one is on my wishlist. Following for sure.
Nice progress. That canopy looks great 🙂
Impressive work so far 👍

How😎 ist this? I like the design and looking forward to more 🙂
Watching this, looks like a cool scratchbuild idea.
I wish another model manufacturer would make a 1/48 scale XF-103. The Collect Aire kit was nice but (at the time) WAY out of price range of my wallet. I guess I'll have to buy a resin printer and try to make my own.
Woooooaaa ! That looks fast an cool ! Reminds of the Tigershark, that appeared in one of the „Blake and Mortimer" Comic albums by Edgar P. Jacobs.
Hanno, from what I read about it the XF-103 was supposed to have a Mach 3+ performance making it the fastest interceptor ever built. Unfortunately titanium fabrication problems as well as engine development issues caused the Air Force to lose interest and in August 1957 the plug was pulled on it.
Yes, they had some serious problems in engine development back then.......
Like the J 46 engine for the Douglas Stiletto that never materialized, preventing the plane to gain its full potential. Checkin' in on this one
Following! At some long lost forum a greek modeler built one from wood and plasticard in 1/72. I think I have a photo of it somewhere.
This looks really cool, following
Holy cow, Methy-ethyl-Ketone?

very nice project !!!
nice project, ive also seen the film on Netflix a short while ago.
im following this one 🙂
Look like a russian PTRS or PTRD AT rifle...
@Marc: yep, a PTRS-41.😉
Nice work !!
Great subject! That's some fine work you did scratch-building the rifle.

Especially like that the engine looks like a pair of tea pots
Very cool 👍
A lovely kit. My son (probably 8 or 9 then) built and unbuilt it many times. I should paint it too.
It's amazing how the Japanese still make models that are toys and incredibly well made too.

Cool plane, watching!
Modelling... at the model show...😉
Nice interior - but the tank will be completely hidden I'm affraid... Or is there an option to make it visible?
@Slavo: the tank will be (a very little bit) visible through the cockpit hole. That's why only the front part has been painted😉
Great project and progress. Following.
Very nice work.
Lovely ! Have you finished it ?
I have yet to make mine. It's the 'late' model. I'm looking forward to Fine Molds quality !
Really cool looking so far.. want one myself lol
Thanks ! Well, not finished... but the plan is to finish it by the end of 2021...😉
What's your plan? Make 1 out of 3?
Hello Erik, yep.
The idea is to make a single NF.11 with:
- NF.14 / Sword (main body)
- NF.11 / Classic Airframes (nose, parts of the cockpit)
- F.8 / Airfix (tail)
Okay thanks for the info. But why not using the CA NF.11 fuselage with the Airfix tail? Saves cutting on the nose. Is the Sword NF.14 fuselage more accurate?
Well, the Sword kit is much better (details, general assembly, recessed lines quality). The wings and engines assembly is much better engineered.
Salut RV, Very interested on your approach to this one... I've been working on a U15 Meteor (Target Drone) using the CA kit, and I was not impressed... Then, seeing the Airfix kit come out, I have shelved the idea of a French NF Meteor until Airfix comes out with a NF kit. Just hoping !
How are the decals form the CA kit ?
And, btw, NF11-3 is here at the Musée de l'Armée in Brussels, in case you need some pics for reference.
@Boris: Thanks, I will let you know if I need some pics.😉
For the CA decals: the colors of the roundels are totally wrong, but the codes and stencils seem to be correct.
Great work. Thanks for your hint, I will definitly learn from this
wow love it, paints superb
Very nicely done!
